Hi all,

I need help with the attached files.  Specifically, drafting two replies, one for each discussion post (attached).  General guidance is also included.

Reach out with any questions.  Thanks much!

Hi, everyone! My name is Josh Conner, and this is my last term of my MS program. I am currently a high school Spanish teacher, and I like to play volleyball, cook, dance, and watch movies. I am looking forward to getting to know you all!

The company that I have chosen for the final project is either Amazon or Apple. Both of these companies bring in huge profits and are extremely successful. It will be interesting to see how the leadership and organizational structures influence such success.

It seems that within Amazon, the focus on e-commerce and convenience is the main reason for their success. Amazon is mostly based online and is available worldwide. The convenience of being able to buy something and have it shipped to you within a day with Amazon Prime is a huge selling factor for the company. Along with this, Apple has a huge selling point due to their sleek packaging and marketability. The ability to also pair your phone with your computer, watch, headphones, and even wallet makes iPhones and Apple products more appealing to a variety of audiences.

Good day, team,

My name is Michael; I currently reside in Nashville, TN, working in claims and sales for auto repair. I am a veteran who served in the Navy during the First Gulf War onboard an aircraft carrier as a crash and salvage rescue and assistance. I also coach a woman semi-pro football team that just won a championship game. I aim to reach the director or VP level for the customer success department. In this role, the goal is to build new leaders for the future.

The company I had chosen to research would be Exxon Mobil, which was started in 1859 by Colonel Edwin Drake in Titusville, PA, until the end of the Civil War. J.D. Rockefeller, in 1870, took over the company and changed the name to Standard Oil Company in Ohio, where he combined several smaller companies to build the largest oil firm in the world. Regarding leadership, Exxon believes in strong integrity, courage, and resilience to handle a company the size of Exxon because of the multiple areas in the company involved. The decision-making for Exxon is very important when it comes to handling environmental issues and legislative restrictions that could cripple the business operation. Each leader at Exxon implements an open-door policy with an informal and formal touch when speaking with employees.

Exxon's core value in leadership leans on courage for leaders to take the initiative to make a difference. ( Leadership | ExxonMobil, n.d.)  I learned to take ownership when making good or bad judgments and boldly act with conviction to lead the right way. Leaders must hold themselves to a higher standard and present integrity and grit for others to follow. Leading the right way has always been the right principle for those in leadership at Exxon to understand the company's leadership program builds leaders for the future.

Review the module resources and choose a company that you plan to use for the final project. Then in your initial discussion post, address the following prompts:

· Introduce yourself by describing your personal and professional life. You might include hobbies, interests, and career aspirations.

· Identify the company you have chosen to research for this course. Provide a brief description and explain why you chose the company.

· As you start to research the company, what do you think is key to successful leadership in the business? Use your experience in leadership coursework to inform your response.

Respond to at least two peers by sharing an experience about the company your colleagues selected. For example, share a trend that you have recently seen or are familiar with as you engaged in the company's products or services.

To complete this assignment, review the  Capstone Discussion Rubric.
